Why in the world would this model be crying?

The fashion world is all in a tizzy over this 14 year old girl they pushed on the runway even though she had tears streaming down her cheeks.

Why was she sad? Was she mad? Was it part of the "look?"

She is not crying claims the designer's PR rep. The Wall Street Journal didn't take that for an answer, and dug further. Rumors say it was everything from allergies to too tight pumps.

Listen…this is a 14 year old kid for goodness sake. This is not a mature, grown woman, although she has been dressed up as one. This is a teenager who doesn't quite have the ability to hide her emotions like we adults do.

At the end of the day, who cares? No one. Because there is a line of teeny-boppers behind her waiting to take her place.

Probably she ate a grape and someone yelled at her.

That line reminds me of what was constantly told to Anne Hathaway in “The Devil Wears Prada” by her colleagues. “Your job is one every girl in the world would die for.” I found that line disturbing, and the movie was also generally triggering because it made th efashion world look so glamorous on one hand (even though it did show that people are treated badly and encouraged to be thin”. My favorite line is from the secretary woman who says “You eat carbs, for God’s sake.” Hahah. Sometimes I laugh at people who work so hard to diet and then look depressed when they have not reached their definition of success. (I am not talking at the people who have diseased, but the teens in my class who are obsessed with counting calories and chewing bubblegum constantly-ughhhhh- to “tame” their hunger.) Dream on.
Also, haha Amy, it is sad, but probably true.

Hmm, I wonder if it is some sort of publicity stunt… Those “tears” look to be perfectly down the centre of each cheek. I know when I cry, my face goes all blotchy and I end up being all snotty with mascara around my chin.
Or maybe perfect models just cry perfect tears.
