In Control! Yeah right…
20 Nov
Stumbled upon an ED blogger Bubblewrapped today.
UPDATE 11/20/08 mamaV: More info because I confused everyone with the earlier post!
Below is an image of ED Blogger Bubblewrapped after she passed out on her coffee table and talks about it in her post "Oh, so this is why we need electrolyes."
"So today I woke up to a very, very swollen face. My right eye is almost swollen shut; it's a little unpleasant but thankfully I am not in the same stage of pain I was yesterday morning. Folks, this really is what an ed looks like. It's not pretty. It's taunting death when we don't even realize it. I did not feel sick or ill/weak prior to passing
You are not in control. Does this look like the face of control to you?

I read some of her blog, and it’s heart-breaking. I feel so naive when I read about these womens’ struggles. I feel blessed it never went that far for me, but my gosh — what a wake-up call.
I dont get it…what is the link to her blog?
Click the bubblewrap link above the pic. I think she passed out. I’m still somewhat confused myself.
Her electrolytes were low after she only drank energy drinks for a day and she passed out and fell on her table and glass candle holders if I read correctly. The reason for her injuries was numerous entries before the one mamaV posted.
This seriously makes me think.
I have started passing out and sometimes I have a warning and other times I don’t.
The times my friends have taken me to the emergency room the doctors have talked about electrolight embalences but since I am not really showing any symptoms other then passing out no one has considered that I might have an ED…I’m actually starting to attempt recovery…passing out scares me
Thanks Liz for the explanation. I didn’t read her blog for the simple fact I am in recovery and avoid reading ED related blogs except for this blog.
Did you ask her if you could post this?
Hi All: Here is the link to her original post that tells the whole story http://chewzlife.blogspot.com/2008/11/so-thats-why-we-need-balanced.html
Sorry for the confusion!
mamaV
PS I did not ask if I could post this, it is on her blog which is open to the public.
I just wanted to add a couple of things. The restricting was going on for more than a day, but it’s not necessary to mention how long because each of our bodies are different.
I posted this horrible picture of myself on my blog in the hopes that if one person sees it and it makes them realize, before it’s too late, that ed’s really are deadly, then it was worthwhile.
And yes, my blog is public, & it is recovery oriented, meaning I don’t mention numbers/weights/etc. What I do talk about are the honest ups and downs, and share the victories that happen to try to be an encouragement to others who are suffering.
Hi eshoe (aka Bubblewrapped):
I wanted to thank you for posting your pictures on your blog, you are quite courageous. When I saw them, and the title about electrolyes, I knew this would hit home with some here.
Take care, and keep writing! You are doing a great service to many others out there like you.
