Wow. That’s so disturbing, yet at the same time a total metaphor for how some people are living. Such a good metaphor.

That’s so freaky. What an awesome video. Society sets standards too high and when girls try to reach that themselves they break.

So incredible, love it! Thanks for sharing it with us. ♥

    Happy Mother’s Day, Mama! ♥

    Brightest Blessings and Best Wishes,
    -♥-Melissa

It took me a while to get over the shock of the video, it was so powerful. It makes you wonder just how many people have already broken, and how many more are on their way to breaking…
    Thank you for sharing MamaV

    Hi MamaV,

Unrelated to this post, but you might be interested in this http://community.livejournal.com/proana_critics/. It’s a discussion of the pros and cons of livejournal proanorexia.

Hi Hagar: Feel free to express yourself, I am not sensitive! I would like to hear what you have to say.
    Take care,

Woah. Freaky. Disturbing. Awesome. I can so totally understand that. How she was trying to be beautiful like the one on the tv and then she broke because of it. Wicked. I’m a day late but HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY.

This video really… connected with me. I sent it to my friends and I posted it on my blog. It didn’t connect with others the same way. They all just thought it was creepy. I’m kind of disappointed in them, though I know I shouldn’t be.

I figured I’d let you know about my progress. I relapsed on Sunday. Immediately afterwards, it felt like I was going backwards and not making progress, but later, I think that the one last relapse was beneficial. It made the fact that I really don’t want to be sick anymore hit home.

Keep up the good work MamaV, you’re an inspiration.

Wow, congratulations, Hillary! I hope you get healthy as quickly as possible, it’s so amazing to hear that you truly want to now. ♥ I have faith in you, even if we are strangers to each other. I feel like all fans of mamaV are connected in a deeper sense, but that might just be my own craziness. ♥ In any case, keep up the good work!

I’m been spreading it around to my friends as well. I just posted a bulletin on myspace about it. I always post on myspace whenever a particularly interesting or urgent blog appears from mamaV. ♥ She’s go quite the following, ne?

    Blessings!

Dollface has been reposted by three people on my myspace friends list. The word is spreading, and it’s amazing.

This is the bulletin I posted thanking them:

    My Dollface Surprise
Body: Wow, I am really excited to see everyone reposting the dollface video! This is definitely something that I stand up and shout about, it’s great to see other people spreading the word.

Eating disorders and mental illness are suddenly becoming less genetic and more into environmental symptoms. The media is poisoning us into beleiving that we are all fat and worthless and that no one will ever love us. WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. WE ARE ALL PURE.

No barbie doll on the tv hiked up on crack is going to make me think otherwise. I have yet to meet a TRULY ugly person. I’ve found something beautiful about everyone, inside and out. It’s a damn shame that we are brainwashed into thinking/noticing only the negative things when all the positive are glaringly bright.

It really makes me happy to see other people getting involved, even if this is all you do. Maybe you have changed someone’s life. ♥

You guys have a fantastic freaking night and I am so proud to know all of you! ♥

    Blessings,
    Melissa -♥-

I’m helping to spread your word, Mama. Keep up the good work!

    Always Listening,
    -♥-Melissa
